Lush shampoo bar review

Today’s post is a review of the Lush shampoo bar ‘Honey I Washed My Hair’. I’d completely forgotten that I had this as it had been put back on my box of bath stuff in a Lush packet with no label. I was a bit confused as to what it was as it had no label but after looking it up online I realised that it was a shampoo bar.

I’ve never used a Lush shampoo bar before so was super excited to try it out. My favourite thing about this is probably the smell – it smells amazing! It’s sweetly toffee-scented,  but it’s not overpowering or sickly. The honey in this bar is known for adding softness and shine to your hair, while the wild orange and bergamot oils are toning and cleansing and also give it it’s delicious fragrance!

I rubbed the shampoo bar directly onto my hair and then worked it into a lather. It foams really easily, which is a big bonus because it means that you don’t have to use a lot of it. I did get a bit worried for a second in case I had found the wrong thing on the website and was actually rubbing body wash into my hair! Once I started to rinse out the shampoo my hair started to feel a bit squeaky (not the easiest feeling to describe) but this goes away when your hair is dry.

Overall, I really liked this shampoo and will definitely be using it again. It made my hair feel really clean, well obviously because it’s a shampoo and soft. It’s also so much better for the environment as it’s not in plastic packaging, and I can’t get over how good it smells!

Let me know if you’ve ever used a shampoo bar from Lush and what was your opinion?
